Sonairte…

The word ‘Sonairte’ means “positive strength’’ in Irish. Our class visited Sonairte in May. It is in County Meath. We saw a tree that was over 400 years old. We also made wishes on the leaves of ‘’the fairy tree’’. We went into a hide which is used for watching birds for hours, maybe even days. Everyone enjoyed catching and examining insects with containers and microscopes. Sonairte is right beside a massive beach. We used a sun dial and it told the perfect time. Sonairte is about recycling, saving electricity and growing food and lots more. It was an amazing experience and we loved it…

The Vegtable Garden...

There was different vegtables growing. Including carrots,lettuce,cabbage and they powered the Polytunnels by windmills. They also grew potatoes. The vegtable garden was very big, and had different types of growing things in it. They had a compost section and loads of polytunnels. The vegtable garden was beautiful and they grew beautiful things. We had a great time and we all learned a lot about recycling and vegtables...
